"Expanding Your Mind...Believing in you!"

Mission Statement

To serve minorities and underprivileged community members. Providing opportunities by connecting motivational tools of resources. Encouraging mental health/wellness, educational, employment and professional development.

The Problem

Minority populations often struggle with:

  • Mental Health Stability
  • Self-Sufficiency
  • Employability
  • Educational Resources
  • Food Insecurity

The impact of COVID-19 on Black and Latino communities:

The coronavirus pandemic has revealed deep-seated inequities in health care for communities of color and amplifies social and economic factors that contribute to poor health outcomes.

Recent news reports indicate that the pandemic disproportionately impacts communities of color, compounding long standing racial disparities.

"The pandemic is problematic for everyone, and we know that it's especially problematic for students who are eager to experience the unique social atmosphere that college life has to offer," said study co-author Lincoln Larson, associate professor of parks, recreation, and tourism management for NC State University.

"COVID-19 has thrown a wrench into all of that. Our study found the pandemic is clearly taking a significant psychological toll on students."

Laura Oleniacz, NC State News

The Solution

Developing a strategic plan that will cultivate sustainability. Connecting resources for disproportionate minorities.

Providing support groups, mentoring, therapy sessions, workshops, seminars, internships, volunteerism, and outreach opportunities.
